Dr. Muhammad Zahoor Khan, a licensed veterinarian from Pakistan, is currently serving as an Associate Professor at College of Agricultural Science and Engineering, Liaocheng University. He earned his Ph.D. in Animal Genetics, Breeding, and Reproduction from China Agricultural University, Beijing, China in January 2020. Before joining Liaocheng University in October 2023, Dr. Khan spent nearly three years as an Assistant Professor and Chairman of the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics at the University of Agriculture, Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan. He also collaborated with China Agricultural University as a research collaborator for three years.
Dr. Khan has extensive experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, including "Animal Breeding and Genetics," "Molecular Biology," and "Livestock Production." In 2019, he was recognized for his outstanding research when he was named the best researcher among all international students at China Agricultural University.
His main research focus is on the identification of genetic markers associated with disease resistance and production traits in livestock animals. As an accomplished academic, Dr. Khan has published over 80 SCI-indexed articles in prestigious international journals, including Cell Metabolism, Journal of Advanced Research, Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition, Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology, Journal of Food Chemistry-X, Frontiers in Immunology, Antioxidants, and Journal of Dairy Science.
